Beast Escapes From Cage and le Slain by Blacksmith With Ax. St. Paul, Sept. 21.—A crowd of 300 persons was thrown into a panic when a leopard broke from its cage. The beast attacked Martin Martinson, four years old, and in the presence of the boy’s father, tore off the boy’s right arm and clawed one ear from the boy’s head. Charles Reustrom, a blacksmith, rushed from his shop and killed the beast with an ax.
