ELEVEN DIE AS BOAT SINKS

Victims Were Attempting to Land from a Disabled Steamer. Cape Town, South Africa, Sept. 17. — The British steamer Umhlali, from London for Port Natal, has run ashore off Cape Point in a thick fog. The crew and the passengers left the Umhlali in the small boats. One of these boats was capsized and five women and six men were drowned.
