Scientist Tells of Usefulness of Feasible Route to Pole. Potsdam, Sept. 3.—Professor Zuering of the Meteorological Magnetic observatory here says: “Dr. Cook’s merit, assuming the news to be true, consists in his having discovered a feasible route to the pole. “If the game there is abundant, it will be possible to send out better equipped expeditions over Cook’s route and establish a camp as far north as possible to make comprehensive meteorological, magnetic, astrono mlcal and physical observations and measurements.**
