W. P. Gaffield returned Wednesday from North Dakota, where he had been with a party of landseekers. He was much pleased with the country and says the crops are great. Bud has just bought a section of land, a part of that he is now farming and Mr. Gaflleld says Bud had about 60 people to supper Saturday evening, hiß own threshing outfit and help and another threshing crew he was bonding temporarily. All the Jasper county contingent are doing fine and are well pleased with the country. 'Mr. Gaflleld will go again September 7th with another party of land-seekers. Claude Welsh of Jordan township, who went out with Mr. Gaflleld struck a Job at once at $2.50 per day with a threshing gang.
