GEO. J. HASTE VISITING HERE.

George Haste of Comstock, Neb , came Wednesday for a visit with his son Dave and to look after some business matters. Mr. Haste’s wife died about a year ago and he being all alone, has recently sold his 160acre farm near Comstock, which was generally considered the finest farm in Custer county, for $2,000 more than he paid for it four years ago. In about Comstock, Mr. Haste says, it has been most too dry this season, and wheat, oats and corn are rather light. His son-in-Law, Robert Clark, lives near Archer, Merick county, and in that vicinity wheat is yielding 35 bushels to the acre, and Mr.' Clark’s corn he thinks will go at least 50 bushels to the acre. Mr. Haste is undecided as to the future, and does not know how long he will remain here.
