HAS THE GOODS TO SHOW.
E. F. Pullins of Barkley township was in town Thursday and had a sample of the "Rudy” wheat, a new kind of wheat which he has been experimenting with the past tw r o years. Last year he did not get it thick enough, only sowing a bushel to the acre, but the yield was 14 bushels to the acre and it tested 65 pounds to the bushel. This year he sowed IVi bushels to the acre, and on a tract of slightly under 10 acres he threshed out 375 bushels machine measure, which it will overrun a little by weight. This is 37 Va bushels to the acre. It is a nice looking grain, big fat kernels and seems well adapted to this section of the state. Mr. Pullins expects to put out 50 acres of this wheat this fall.
