Arthur Gross Purchases It For Small Sum of $2,000. Evansville. Ind., Aug. 13—Arthur Gross, one of the stockholders In the Evansville Central league baseball club and owner of the baseball park in this city, has become sole proprietor of the franchise and team as the result of negotiations which have been pending secretly since the other directors threatened to give up the franchise because of dwindling patronage and increasing losses. The purchase price is less than $2,000 covering only the current debts of th baseball team. '
