LETTER FROM PARR.
Edltor Democrat: Regarding the party that went from Parr to Colorado and just recently returned, talking so unfavorable of that country, will say that reports indicate that there was nothing to the whole bunch. And those blades of grass, they spoke of being so far apart, they expected to find twenty dollar gold pieces lying between each blade and some one to go along with sacks and scrape it into them and some one else to pay the freight and send them all home to their pa’s. Two of them that went would like to have taken homesteads but the other two didn’t .go for anything, and were only knockers anu discouraged the other two. They saw better crops there than they ever saw in their lives—that they don’t deny. They also say that it rained there in that vicinity before they left, yet they say that they are burning up for want of rain.. Any man that can’t make a living on 320 acres and do better there than they can here is not wanted out there. They are only a hindrance and stumbling block for the people
that do want to go and get homes for themselves. r Any one wanting a home should not listen to people that don’t know when they see a good thing, but go and look for themselves.
