Provincetown, Mass., July 27.—That the outbreak of typhoid fever among the men of the battleship fleet was due to bad potatoes was the official verdict of a naval physician on the supply ship Celtic. Ice cream and various other things have been under suspicion. Hundreds of barrels of tubers from the Celtic’s storerooms were dumped Into the sea.
