WESS HINKLE BUYS AN “E. M. F.”
Wesley Hinkle of Union tp.—The Democrat got Wess located in Barkley in mentioning him a couple of weeks ago-—was in town Monday afternoon driving an “E. M. F.” four passeger auto which he purchased of Babcock & Hopkins. The auto is a nice, smooth running machine, and with the amount of wear Mr. Hinkle ■tfill give it, it will last for years. Henry Ropp was in the front seat with Wess while Mrs. Hinkle serenely occupied one of the rear seats. She knew that Wess had guided her safely through the journey of life to a comfortable financial haven, and had confidence in his strong arm to manage anything he undertook now, even to a frisky auto. Henry sat in his place rather gingerly, evidently mistrusting Wess’ understanding of the “crittter,” but the latter seemed to have confidence in his ability to handle it, and that is half the battle, and he gripped the steering wheel like a veteran driver.
