COLONELS TO STORM CAPITAL.
International Association of Auctioneers’ First Annual Convention At Indianapolis. C’olonels front everywhere will be in the city this week. According to the advance notices of the International Association of Auctioneers, every member of the organization is a colonel. Even Lew Shank is a colonel, and so is W. T. Long, both of this city. The association will hold its first annual convention in Room 12, state house, next Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Auctioneers will be be here from all over the country. Col. A. P. Mason, of Union, la., is the president. Governor Marshall Is on the program to welcome the colonels to the state, and Mayor Bookwalter will welcome them to the city. Responses are scheduled from Colonel A. A. Figg. of Danville, ind., ColoneLShank and Colonel Long, of this city, and Colonel J. P. Gutelius, of El Reno, Okla. All sides of the auctioneer business will be- discussed in the papers and addresses that will be made during the convention. Friday night Colonel Shank and Colonel; Long will give a banquet for the visitors. They say the banquet will be seasoned with a lot of unusual and catchy stunts.—lndianapolis News.
