HEARS OF FATHER’S DEATH.

Ernest Cissell Returns After Unexplained Absence Nine Years. Lafayette, Ind., June 4.—After an unexplained absence of nine years, during which time he has been completely cut off from relatives and boyhood friends, Ernest Cissell, son of the late. Rev. Dr. J. H. Cissell, formerly presiding elder of the Lafayette district of the Methodist Episcopal church, has returned to Indiana and is now’ with his mother at Laporte. The family moved away from here eight years ago, but the sons have made their home here since that time. Ernest Cissell was a bright young man and learned the printer’s trade, becoming an expert. One day in 1901 hq disappeared suddenly and never returned. Before that he had served in the United States army. He learned only recently of his father's death, which occurred three years ago.
