Philadelphia Conductors and Motormen Await Word From Committee. Philadelphia, May 28. —In accordance with resolutions adopted at meetings of street car men in all parts of the city last week, a mass meeting of motormen and conductors was held and it was decided to cease work whenever the executive committee of the national organization of street car men should consider the time propitious. When one speaker suggested that the men strike in forty-eight hours there were cries of "twenty-four hours.” President Parsons refuses to treat with the union’s representatives.
