ROAD REQUIRES $1,500,000
Receiver Need* Funds to Keep Going the C., C. and L. Railway. Indianapolis, May 21. James P. Goodrich, receiver for the Cincinnati, Chicago and Louisville Railway company, petitioned the federal court for permission to issue 11,500,000 In receiver's certificates for the purpose of continuing the operation of the railroad. The needs of the company are detailed as repairs, equipment, Improvements and betterments. The road is not entirely completed. A bond Issue of more than a yjar ago for >6,600,000 was made to retire all others previously made. Only a little better than half of the amount eaa subscribed, but it was practically
enough to retire the former Issues. It is this condition, it is understood, which necessitates the issuance of the receiver’s certificates. The creditors of the road will be notified to appear for the hearing May 29.
