HEIRESS IS SUED BY WIFE OF COACHMAN
Charles Deere’s Niece Accused of’Steallng Affections. Los Angeles, Cal., May 14.—Mrs. Grace Velle Harper, the daughter of the late 8. H. Velle, a prominent and wealthy manufacturer of Moline, 111, and the niece of the late Charles Deere, the millionaire plow manufacturer, has been sued for $150,000 by Mrs. James Harris, wife of Sidney Harria, a coachman formerly employed by Mrs. Harper, who charges Mrs. Harper with alienating Harris’ affections. Mrs. Harper, who has been spending the winter at her residence in Pasadena, was served with the papers and immediately started arrangements to vigorously contest the proceedings.
