It was announced that along with their other activities, Loeb and bls assistants ace conducting an investiga. tlon Into a series of alleged frauds In the weighing of imported figs and cheese, through which they believe the government has been defrauded of many thousands of dollars. The alleged frauds were accomplished, It Is said, through shbrt weighing by government employes. About twenty Importers are said to be Involved.
