TAFT’S SWORD IS SEIZED

Weapon With Hilt of Gold In Hands of Treasury Agents. New York, May 7. —A finely wrought sword, with a hilt of solid gold, alleged to have been brought here as a gift for President Taft, was one of several hundred Oriental art objects seized by special treasury agents. The two P.ussians who brought the sword ashore said it was a present from “rpany Russian friends,” and was to have been presented to president by an 6fficlal of the Rut-sirn embassy. ,
