SHYLOCK REALLY OUTDONE
Extortionists Cut Pieces of Flesh From Breast of Victim. Pittsburg, April 20. —Accused of having outdone Shylock in having actually cut portions of flesh from. the breast of a man who refused them money, Salvator Roberto and Nicolo Digliotti were held without bail. Joseph Gugliotti appeared at a bank In company with the prisoners and stated he wanted to draw out $30(5. The teller scented something wrong and policemen were called. Gugliotti declared he received several Black Hand letters. He said he was aroused from a sleep to find the two accused men standing over him. He said they demanded S3OO and that when he refused one of them held him while the other slit his arms and face with a stiletto. Still he said he refused to comply with their demands till one of them began carving pieces out of his breast. Then he promised to get the money.
