TOO MUCH FOR TRUSTEE
Official Resigns to Avoid Work of Raising Needed Revenue. Springfield, 0.,-April 2.—Confronted with the task of raising >40,000 more revenue during the next year, with the city bonded almost up to the limit allowed by the Longworth act and the revenue cut by the voting out of the saloons here, E. S. Houck of the board of the sinking fund trustees has presented his resignation to Mayor Burnett. Houck cited the extra work necessary to raise the needed revenue as his reason for resigning.
