SPECIAL NOTICE. To whom it may concern, I hereby warn all our people against one, Charles Pitzer, who is assuming to be a United Brethren Minister under my appointment to the Brushwood, Parr and Gifford appointments known as .the Parr charge, which is absolutely false, as I have never made such an appointment, neither do I know him further than he has no official relation with us as a Conference and as a Church. I therefore insist that none of our boards or trustees open our churches for his use of give him any financial support. Very truly, W. E. STANLEY, Presiding Elder, North District Upper Wabash Annual Conference United Brethren Church.
OBITUARY. Elsie Margaret Kendall died of tuberculosis at the home of her uncle, in Vienna, Mo., Tuesday, February 16. She was born at Dayton, Indiana, May 20, 1887, and was the daughter of John W. and Elizabeth H. Kendall. At the age of eleven she was converted and united with the Baptist church of which she has ever been a loyal member. She graduated from the Goodland high school and taught successfully for one year, when she was compelled to give up teaching on account of her health. Left an orphan at an early age, she made her home with her grandfather, Rev. D. J. Huston, until his death, when she went to the home of an uncle until the call came to enter “the house not made with hands.” She leaves but one sister. Funeral services were conducted at Vienna by Rev. Chas. Polston, who spoke in a touching way ot her uncomplaining spirit and influence among the young people of that community. Miss Kendall was well known to many people in Jasper county, especially tn Milroy township, where she formerly resided and taught school. They will be sorry to learn of her death.
