WON’T HONOR ROOSEVELT

Mayor Withdraws Proposal to Make President Roman Citizen. Rome. Feb. 19.—Mayor Nathan has decided not to confer Roman citizenship upon President Roosevelt. It was planned to confer this honor upon Roosevelt as a recognition of the generosity of the United States toward the earthquake sufferers, but Nathan believes that when all nations did everything in their power to help the needy no distinction should be made.
