Demand For a Commission Seems General. ADDRESS BY THAD SNOW Delegates Leave Indianapolis Resolved to Continue it Home the Agitation Started at Convention—Officials' Express Their Confidence That Meeting Will Result In Formation of a Permanent Scientific and NonPartisan Committee.

Indianapolis, Feb. 19. —The national tariff commission convention has come to an end as a convention, but its officials and delegates express confidence that its work will be perpetuated in the form of a permanent tariff commission toward the attainment of which their labors have been directed.

Thad Snow, who stated he was Just a plain farmer, joined with speakers who preceded him in what has been voted a remarkably unanimity of expression from various sections, professions and occupations for the establishment by congress of a permanent scientific and non-partisan tariff commission. Before adjournment each delegate pledged himself to continue in his home territory the work for which the convention was called.
