Miss Blanche Steel went to Wheatfield Wednesday for a few days visit' with relatives. Albert Brook of Keener township, was a business visitor In the city yesterday. I Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Coen went to Chicago Thursday to visit with their son Delos and wife. H. F. Parker and Miss Irma Kannal were attending the auto show In Chicago Thursday. Mrs. Wm. McCord returned to Mt. Ayr Thursday after spending a few days with her husband. Steward Moore returned from Chicago Thursday. He had been attending the auto show. Moses Sigo, one of Carpenter township’s best farmers, was in the city on business Thursday. Chauncey Hunskinton of near Mt. Ayr returned Wtednesday from a few weeks visit at Danville, Ind.
F. M. Corbin of near Mt. Ayr left Wednesday morning for a two weeks visit at Big Rapids, Mich. John Wagner of Orland 111., came Thursday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nisius of southeast of town. Miss Flossie Kenton, who has been working at Broo)c, is now employed here in Dr. J. H. Hansson’s office. Miss Elsie Ritchey went to Englewood, 111., Thursday morning for a four weeks visit with relatives. Mrs. John Stockon of west of town went to Lagro, Ind., Wednesday to visit two weeks with her daughter. Carey Lowman returned to Amboy Wednesday. He was called here on account of the death of his mother. Mrs. Henry Eiglesbach went to Chicago Wednesday to visit a few weeks with her brothers and son at that place. Miss Cora Tillman of North Manchester, came Wednesday to visit with her brother, Prof. E. S. Tillman and wife. Mrs. Delos Thompson and children, Emily and Alfred, went to Chicago Wednesday morning to attend the auto show. L . Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Charles, went to Lafayette Thursday for a week’s visit with Jake Coombs, Mrs. Charles* brother. Mrs. Mattie Porter returned to her home in Wednesday. She has been here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Mary Lowman.
Mrs. Edgar Hopkins returned to her home In Denver, Ind., Wednesday after a two weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Hopkins.
