OBITUARY.

Nathan Hoshaw died at his home in Danville, 111., Wednesday morning about 11 o’clock, at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 25 days. He was born in Shelby county, Ohio, May 8, 1837, and when six years of age moved to Carroll county where he resided in the vicinity of Ockley until about thirteen years ago when he took up his residence in Danville. Mr. Hoshaw was twice married, the first time to Miss Elizabeth Felthoff. His second marriage was to Miss Sarah Elizabeth Andrews, who with five sons and three daughters, survive, five children having proceeded him to the great beyond. Those living are: George, Frank, Harve and Jacob, of Ockley; Will, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mrs. Levina Pollack and Mrs. Effie Baker, Danville, 111., and Mrs. Ella Trimble, Oakwood, 111. He a|so left two brothers and two sisters, viz; H. C. Hoshaw, of Rensselaer; T. J. Hoshaw, of Chalmers; Mrs. Nancy J. Slaughter, of Lafayette, and Mrs. Mary McNulty, of Cutler, Ind. The body was brought to Carroll county for burial. H. C. Hoshaw, of this city, went to Danville and accompanied the remains back to Delphi and thence to Ockley. where burial was inade. He returned home Tuesday evening.
