C., Jan. 26.—T0 kill his first deer, a magnificent buck, within an hours’-drive of one of the oldest cities in America, was the novel experience to which Frank H. Hitchcock, who is to be postmaster general in the Taft cabinet, was treated. Hitchcock had bls clothing badly torn in a hard Qght with the buck before killing it.
