Worland was in Chicago on business Wednesday. pDr. Hansson, the veterinarian, has a» new Buick runabout. Jasper Guy was over from Remington on business Wednesday. Messrs. White & Hickman were in Chicago on business Wednesday. Mrs. James Anderson went to Roselawn Tuesday to visit with relatives. H-Mr. and Mrs. John Eger went to Chicago Tuesday to attend the electrical show. P. H. McLaughlin and son John of Remington were Rensselaer visitors Wednesday. Ho. H. McKay has taken back the Rensselaer laundry, which he sold . some time ago to Austin Haas. yMr. and Mrs. James Lefler left Thursday for a few weeks visit at Lafayette, Indianapolis and Anderson. The Rev. J. N. Cloe, of Donovan, 111., has accepted a call to Kentland, as pastor of the First Christian church.
T. J. Richardson left for Sharon, Wis., Friday to visit with his son Berl, who is teaching school at that place. John Blocher of Norwich, No. Dak., is here for a visit with relatives and to look after his farm near Wheatfield. J. J. Montgomery and wife returned from Chicago Wednesday, where they have been attending the Electrical Show. Misses C. M. and M. C Hoffman returned to their homes in Dyer Monday. They had been visiting with James Truley and family. W. R. Miller, a younger brother of Rev. O. E. Miller, is here to visit the latter for a few days. Mr. Miller’s home is near Piqua, Ohio. tv,'- - ' . ~ Mrs. Wm. Moore and son Jim went to’ Hammond Wednesday to be present when the suit of her son Forg Moore, is brought to trial. L. M. Miller, on the Jahn Bislosky farm, west of town, will have a sale next month and move to Gibson county, on his father-in-law’s farm. George Hurley went To Lafayette this week to settle the estate of his brother, George Hurley, who died at Battle Ground about two months ago. \jf Mrs. I. A. Glazebrook returned ffisme Saturday from an extended wlsit with relatives and friends in Putnam county, Indianapolis and other points.
F. P. Honan made a business trip to Indianapolis Wednesday, and incldently, of course, he dropped In at the State house and saw B. F. Shively elected U. S. Senator. Isaac Childers from near Delphi was here the first of the week visiting his brother, J. W. Childers, and other relatives near Mt. Ayr, returning home Thursday afternoon.
