TOBACCO GROWERS’ POOL

Product of Three States'to Be Handled By One Society. t Indianapolis. Jan. 22.—The Union Tobacco Society has received the final touches of its promoters and as a result the tobacco growers of Kentucky, Indiana and Wisconsin are welded into one body with a central administration. The purpose of the society is the pooling and holding of the crops of the members and attending to the necessary financial operations. The Kentucky and Indiana growers were represented at the meeting by delegates from a number of associations which have hitherto acted independently of each other. The Wiscon sin growers, because of the comparative!- rer-ent development of tobacco growing in that state are at present not organized. but will be mustered into the new organization direct.
