COAL MEN DISAGREE

Advance In Rates From Mines to Lakes Is Threatened. Pittsburg, Pa., Jan. 22, —An advance in rates on coal hauled from western Pennsylvania and West Virginia points to the great lakes is being considered. A call was issued for a meeting of presidents, vice presidents and traffic managers of all interested lines to be held in Pittsburg, Feb. 3. Western Pennsylvania operators claim the railroads are discriminating in favor of West Virginia operators and threaten to carry their complaint to the interstate commerce commission.
