Tainted Food Causes Illness in Government Hospital for Insane. Washington, Jan. B.—Ptomaine poisoning is thought to have been the cause of 100 patients and employes of St. Elizabeth’s, the federal hospital for the insane, becoming suddenly ill after dinner.
