MRS. GEO. GOFF IN CRITICAL CONDITION.

Mrs. Geo. Goff is now lying in a critical condition in the Hahnemann hospital in Chicago, where she was Operated on a few days ago for a cancer. Her husband was apprised that she passed through the operation —which was an unsually severe one—very nicely., but the physician in charge of the case gives but scant hopes of recovery. Mrs. Goff went up to ’ Chicago last week for an operation for cancer of the genital organs. Her condition was such that it was not possible to give her an anesthetic, and the operation, which was partly performed Sunday, was very severe. It was thought the operation might be completed today, but the doctors hold out little hope of recovery. *
