END OF INTERESTING LAWSUIT.
Mlzabeth Redd Case Recently Decided In Favor of Plaintiff In White Circuit Court. The case of Leroy E Noland, guardian of Elisabeth Redd, vs. Harry Rishling, et al, was recently decided In the White Circuit Court. The case was quite an interesting one and was brought to set aside a conveyance to certain real estate so far as Elizabeth Redd, a maiden woman of weak mind, who lives with Unele David Culp and wife in HangGrove township, relatives of her.’s, were concerned. The case was begun In the Jasper Circuit Court and taken on change of venue to Newton county and thence to White. The real defendants were Royal Brenneman of Francesville, who first bought the land,’and John J. Shoor ot Illinois, to whom he sold
it It was bought from Rishllng by Brenneman, 'the Court decided that Elizabeth Redd was incapable of, doing business, and that the con--veyance should be set aside, but before the verdict was recorded the defendants asked that it be delayed until a settlement could be reached with pliahtiff. which was done, and nr the terms of this settlement aiizabeth Redd was given 32,000 in caah and defendants paid all the court costs. The record was made up by agreement so as not to oloud the title to the- land. , George A. Williams of this city Bthe principal attorney for the tiff, assisted by Mr. Carey of icello, while the defendants had nearly a dosen attorneys of prominence in the case, some of whom represented a loan company which how holds a mortgage on the lands. The winning of the case under the eircumstaitees is (puite a compliment to Mr. Williams.
