PROF. TRIPODI HAD RELATIVES IN QUAKE DISTRICT.

Prof. Vincent Tripodi, the Monticello music teacher who makes regular visits to Rensselaer, was here Saturday. He expected to leave Monday for New York City and set sail Wednesday for Europe. His mother, a sister and one brother were at Sant Euphemia, Italy t in the quakt* district, and one brother was attending college at Messina. He had been unable to hear anything from them and decided to go over and investigate their fate. Monday’s Monticello Journal, however, had the following: "A great load of uncertainty was lifted from the minds of of Messrs. Vincent and Antonio Tripodi yesterday, when they received a cablegram from their brother, Guiseppe, announcing the safety of the entire family. It was sent from Gioiatauro and contained just two words —“Tuttl Salvi,” but it was enough. The town is about eighty miles from .Bant Euphemia and near Naples. Mr. Tripodi anticipates a letter from them sometime in the coming week, fte will delay his trip until after the letter arrives, and may not go at all just at present.”
