WILL NEVER SERVE TIME
Views of Newly Appointed Commissioner of Immigration. Detroit, Mich., Dec. 24. —"They will never serve their sentence; they will find a way out. There's always a way out of such things.” This was the declaration of Daniel J. Keefe, retiring head of the International Longshoremen’s union, whom President Roosevelt named a few days ago as United States Commissioner of Immigration, when he heard of the Gompers-Mitchell-Morrison sentence. , W. D. Mahon, president of the International Street Railway Men, said: "That decision is a direct blow at the rights of free thought, free speech and free press.
