Kern's Son Is Very Ill.

Indianapolis, Oct. 23.—The condition of John w. Kern, Jr., the eight-year-old son of the Democratic vice presidential candidate, who is suffering from infantile paralysis complicated by acute Indigestion, shows no improvement. His father, who was called home from his speaking campaign in New York and Ohio, has scarcely left his bedside since his arrival from the east, although himself worn out with worrying over the "child’s condition and by the stress of his campaign.
