Washington. Oct 2.—The production of gold ai)d silver by the mines of the United Btates for the calendar year 1907 aggregated 4,374,827 ounces of fine gold of the value of $90,435,700. and 56,514.700 fine ounces of silver of tbe commercial value averaging 66 cents per ounce or $37,299,700.
