Condition of Win. F. Vilas.

Madison, Wis., Aug. 7.—The condition of Colonel William F. Vilas has shown hardly any improvement for ten days, and his family and friends now fear that he may not recover. He remains in an unconscious condition most of the time. At certain periods during the day he seems to manifest some consciousness by Indicating a desire for food or drink, but he does it in a feeble and uncertain manner.
