IROQUOIS VALLEY. . (Too late for last week.) Oats cutting is here 4iow. We are having nice weather at last. Mrs. Wm ; A. Green is again on the sick list. Vilas Price spent Sunday with Newt Jenkins. Newt Jenkins was a Rensselaer goer Sunday evening. Mrs. Mollie Vance did shopping in Rensselaer Tuesday. Bertha Holmes and Lily Brown were in our vicinity Sunday. Cyrel Steel and family called on L. P. Shirer and family Sunday. George McElfresh sold Jake Eigelsbach some fat cattle last week. John Marlatt and visitors took a ride in the little red wagon Sunday. ' Billie Wenrick and his father spent Monday night at Wm. Green’s. Miss Pearl McConehay of Rensselaer visited at Wm. Green’s Thursday. Joe Bennett and Cyrpl Steel are helping John Marlatt make hay this week. Barney Kolhoff and family spent Sunday with his brother south of town. Several young people attended the band concert last Thursday night Mr. Stevens and Floyd Meyers of Rensselaer are helping L. P. Shirer put up hay. Wm. Shirer of Valparaiso visited his brother L. P. Shirer Saturday and Sunday. Lincoln Jenkins and Ben Price called on Wm. Jenkins last Saturday evening. Noah Wenrick and son George were guests of Wm. A. Green and family Sunday. Mrs. George McElfresh and son Alpha and Edward were Rensselaer goers Saturday. Barney Kolhoff’s dance was well attended Saturday night. Everyone reports a good time. Grandpa Richardson is again seen in our vicinity. He Is enjoying good health for his age. - Mr. and Mrs. Barney Kolhoff and family were guests of Geo. McElfresh and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Morgenegg and children called on Geo. McElfresh and family Sunday. Mrs. Geo. McElfresh and daughter Bessie and son Edward, did shopping In Rensselaer Tuesday. The Misses Lucy and Katie Morgenegg attended the birthday party in honor of Bertha Daniels Sunday. Fronle Vance of Rensselaer visited Wm. Green and family Saturday night and Sunday. She attended the barn dance at Barney Kolhoff’s Saturday night. Several lads from this locality attended the serenade at Charley Walker’s Monday night and as a result Newt Jenkins has a badly bruised shoulder caused from a gun kick. Charlie Saltts and Geo. McElfresh are the champion bee tree hunters. They found a bee tree Monday and cut It, finding it was a double bee tree, having two swarms in separate limbs. Good old Madame Rumor says there will be a wedding In our locality in the near future. How about it, L— and M—? Oh, well, we will get the cow bells and guns ready. Alpha McElfresh and Geo. Kolhoff sold ice cream and lemonade Saturday night at the dance, making |2.25 in all, besides having a good many lemons and a lot of sugar left over. A good trade, boys.
