Otis et al. ditch, cause 83. will offer the sale of the construction dttch to the lowest and best bidder or bidders for same, by letting sealed bids. This improvement Is a large dredge ditch and the estimated the estimated benefits is >9,158.52; the number of cubic yards to be excavated is 97,691 and the estimated cost of excavating is 7U cents per cubic yard. This improvement begins at a point sixty (60) feet north and thirty (30) feet west of the north-east corner of section 23, township 81 north, range 7 west in Jasper county, Indiana, thence west 1400 feet to where it enters the old Otis ditch, cause 4224 of the Jasper Commissioners Court, thence following the line of the Otis ditch in a westerly and south-westerly direction and following the line of the old Otis ditch down to the new Moffitt ditch of the Jasper Commissioners Court, cause 410. This improvement has a fall on the grade line of 7.31 feet and terminates in the Moffitt ditch nt a point fifty-two (52) rods west of the south-east corner of section thirty (30) and thence Guee hundred (300) feet south-west where it enters the Moffitt ditch. It follows the line part way of an old constructed ditch. From stake 0 to stake 79 the average depth is six (6) feet, width at bottom six (6) feet and at top 18.5 feet. From stake 79 to stake 171 the average depth is seven (7) feet, width at bottom seven (7) feet and at top 22 feet. _ From stake .171 to outlet, average depth nine (9) feet, width at bottom eight (8) feet and at top 28 feet. The Mne of this Improvement is over a sandy grade of land and will be fine ditch for construction. This improvement has been established under the drainage act of 1905 and all bidders Will be expected to comply strictly with this law. I reserve the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder snail give bond to the approval of the undersigned as the statute designates. t The sale of this ditch will take place at the Court House door in the City of Rensselaer.
