THREE BILLS

All That Are Returned By Grand Jury. TOOK UP REMINGTON BANK FAILURE But 'lf Indictments Were Returns^ Against Hr. Parker No Warrants Have Yet Been Issued. The circuit court has been grinding all week but uot much of importance has been done except in disposing of probate matters and setting oases down for trial. The grand jury adjourned Wednesday afternoon after returning three indictments. No warrants bad been issued on these indictments up to the time of going to press, but the general supposition is that one and perhaps all are against Robt. Parker, the failed Remington banker, which matter was op before the grand jury and some twenty or more witnesses examined. No hint of the character of the indictments is allowed,to get out, which is unusual, as it is oustomary to allow the nature of the offense charged to be made public. It is rumored that the trustee did not want anything done at this time as-Mr. Parker is assisting him in unraveling the business snarl of the bank, and perhaps for this reason, if indictments were returned, the warrants are being held back for a time on this account. This is merely conjecture, however. An affidavit and information was filed Thursday and a warrant issued, but we are not able to learn the nature of the charge nor whom against, as no arrests has yet been made.
