OBITUARY.

Mary E. Greenfield, whose death occurred at her home in Parr, Feb 9, was born in Muskingum Co , Ohio, Oct. 7,1836. Her age was 71 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was one of the early settlers of Jasper county, coming here 55 years ago. She was married to Samuel Greenfield in 1855. To them were born five children, two sons and three daughters, Sylvester and William, Alioe Amber and Eva. Mrs. Greenfield united with the Good Hope Christian church in 1890, under the ministry of Aaron Pierson. This profession of Christianity was most practical, for it was exemplified in the home and among her neighbors and friends. Her Christian character will long be remembered by those who knew her and will give her a large room in “The House of Many Mansions.” She had mourned the death of her husband and three children, now one son. Sylvester, one daughfbr|Amber Harrington, a number of grand children and a great company of friends are greatly bereaved. The funeral service was held in the Good Hope church conducted by G. H. Clarke. The body was laid to rest by the side of her husband in Weston cemetery at Rensselaer.
