It is said that the notorious dives in Wdst Hammond —which is just across the line in Illinois—have been compelled to close by the new demooratio board of trustees who refused to license the dive keepers. For years they had flourished under republican administrations and have been a stench in the nostrils of the good people of Hammond and of the whale state, bat now they have met their Waterloo in the election of a set of officers!
