Goodland Herald: Arrangements are being made to start a tile factory in Goodland. It is the intention to put in a SIO,OOO plant. A man of Chalmers, who has experience in the tile business, will take stock in tbAconcern and will manage the business. Mr. and Mrs. David Nowels passed their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary last Sunday. All the children were here, having been called by the serious condition of Mrs. Nowels who has been in poor health for some time and who seems to be suffering simply from old age. She is liable to drop off at any moment. Mr. and Mrs. George Davisson cuttle over from Havana, 111., last Friday to visit old friends and look after some bu-Mness matters, returning to Havana Tuesday. Mr. Davisson says they have had very little cold weather there this winter, three inches being the thickest ice frozen. He has kept the dredge he is working going right along all winter. B- T. £anbam, residing on the former Wm. Haley farm, south of town, got a bad kick from a horße last Sunday, the blow striking him square in the mouth, cutting the upper lip and nose so that it was necessary to have the wounds sewed up, and knocking several teeth loose. Fortunately no bones were broken, and while very sore and painful the wounds will heal up in a short time. Fraucesville Tribune: Henry Nichelson, who formerly liyed with his parents west of this place, died at their bogie at Boswell last week. He was stricken with consumption two years ago. Thinking that a change of climate would restore him back to health, he went west, but the trip proved futile and hq returned home where death ended his earthly career at the age of twenty years. Frank Gray, a well known resident of Carpenter tp., died at his home on the W. T. Beahler farm, 3 miles north of Remington, Wednesday, aged about 59 years. He leaves a widow and four children, two sons and two daughters, the latter both being married. He had been sick for several weeks. The funeral was held yesterday at 10 a. m., from the house and burial made in the Remington cemetery. A telegram received here Sunday morning by relatives of Charles Yeoman, who has been living at Kaw, Okla,, announced that he was aocidently shot and killed the night before, although no particulars were given. Deceased was engaged in the hardware and implement business at Kaw with his brother Frank, and had been in the west about twenty years. Andrew and Robert Yeoman of near Renieelaer are brothers of his and lie also had three brothers at Kingman, Kan. A letter received later states that Mr. Yeoman was chief of a fire company, and while at a fire a gun that was in the burning building was discharged by the beat and the bullet struck and killed him.
