Wesley Taylor of Monon, democratic candidate for joint representative of Jasper and White counties, was in the city Monday. In view of the action of his opponent, Mr. Meeker of Monticello, in try ing to fasten onto the taxpayers of this county the $23,000 of county funds lost in the McCoy political bank, even going so far as to vote to pass the bill over the governor’s veto, ought to give Mr. Taylor a large majority of the votes of this county. Vote for George E. Hershman for prosecuting attorney.
