While the personnel of the new concern is not given in. detail Moses Taylor, vice president of the Lackawanna Steel company, is mentioned as prominent In the new steamship company, and it is stated that other capitalists associated with Taylor in the —ackawanna Steel company are interested, although the steel company Itself does not appear In the transaction. The new ships are to come out in 1008, and are to be built by the American Shipbuilding company, the latter company agreeing to take over at a valuation of 81,000,000 the ship owners’ dry dock property at Chicago.
