Mishawaka, Ind., Aug. 14.—Miss Mary Skinner, one of the belles of this city, was drowned tn the St. Joseph river In company with L. C. ler of South Bend. The young woman was rowing iu a boat near Hen island. a dam east of this city, and lost control of the oars, the young man also being unable to handle the skiff.
