The Typewriter Sponge.

He drops into the office, ostensibly for a chat with the boss. Presently he looks toward his victim and says In a careless, offhand way? ‘Oh. by the way. Is your stenographer busy now? If not I’d like her to do a little typewriting for me. It will take only a few minutes.’ “The chances are that she is knocking the very daylights out of the machine at that minute, but the manager Is too polite to call his attention to the fact, so she does thf work.
