The Washington Star (Ind. Rep.) declares that "John Sharp Williams’ argument on the Philippine tariff bill was as sound as a dollar. The Mississippi leader would prefer the whole loaf, but, realizing that only half a loaf is obtainable now and recognizing the need of bread, will take what he can get That Is the plain, everyday, common sense, practical view of the matter.”
