A PECULIAR ACCIDENT.
One of the most peculiar accidents that ever happened in this vicinity occured on the west aide of Main street last Thursday evening. The Kiifner boys were coming into town about eight o’clock in a rig and were driving at a fairly good gait; Art Rowley met them going out of town in a single rig and the horses in neither rig nor the drivers were aware of each others presence until the horses came together with fearful force. The buggy shaft from the Kiifer rig penetrated the breast and heart of the animal driven by Rowley and killed it in its tracks. —Brook Reporter.
