Lincoln Neb., November 19. — Home Gibson, right half-back of the Kansas City Manual Training School football team, who was injured here yesterday, was to-night reported to be dying. An operation of trepanning was performed to relieve a blood clot. New Orleans, La., November 20. —The first football fatality in New Orleans was recorded to-day in the death of G. C. Ficken, fullback on the junior team of the Southern Athletic Club. Ficken was, it is believed, struck on the bead during one of the scrimmages in a game between the southern Athletic Club and the Queen and Crescent team, played Sunday.
