Cows Need Fiber In Food.

There is one point that some feeders lose sight of, and that is the value of fiber in feed of cows, or, in fact, of any animals adapted to the consumption of fresh and dried grasset. • Fiber is coming to be recognized as a very important constituent of the feed of cows. Where it has been ignored, as in the great feeding yards connected with distilleries, the results have not been good. Just how much fiber the cow must have In her food to do her best is not now known, but the more it is investigated the more does it appear that the amount is quite large.
